After a summer of wearing the most lightweight riding tights and tank tops you could find to stay cool, the weather is finally shifting. The crisp fall weather has arrived, and with it the need for a change in riding wardrobe. Fall riding apparel is all about the layers. Having the right items will keep you comfortable while you’re getting ready to ride, and allow you to shed a layer as you warm up in the saddle. Make sure you have everything you need to be appropriately outfitted this season.
- Long Sleeve Tops – Keep the muscles in your arms warm by swapping your lightweight shirts for those with cool weather fabrics and features. Half-zip long sleeves, like the

Fall riding apparel that is made with performance fabric to wick away moisture is ideal to help maintain body temperature as you heat up and cool down. - Jackets – While you may need a heavy winter jacket later in the season, a lightweight jacket is a great thing to have for the fall when you may sweat in something heavier but still need an outer layer.
